Every one must had problem in activating GPRS in apple’s iphone i had the same it took many days to find out how to activate GPRS in apple’s iphone? but finally i found the way to activate GPRS.Its very easy to activate GPRS in an apples iphone .
From the setting of your iphone go to the general than click on network Than u will find edge on the bottom of the page .click on the edge than u will enter in edge settings which is the main center to activate GPRS. At the edge setting page u have to fill APN,user name,password.
These depends upon the countries and their mobile networks .Different countries mobile network has different APN,user name, and password.so i hope this web page will help u to find out your countries mobile network APN ,user-name and password.Even if u couldn’t activate GPRS in your apples iphone u can email me withe your problems to activate GPRS in apple’s iphone.

I’ve just bought an IPhone from USA and I’m having problme using in Nepal. It doesn’t accept my SIM Card. I belive it’s not yet unlocked thought i’m told it is unlocked what do i need to do to unlock my phone. Please do suggest me.

there are two types of orange in uk ,orange(pay monthly)and orange(just talk).i m sending u the gprs setting for both orange.

I have an unlocked iphone and I am trying to activate GPRS in Malaysia. The cell phone carrier is DIGI and it is a pre-paid card. I can get to the edge settings but not sure what to imput. The DIGI people look at me like I am crazy (a common reaction to us gadget geeks).

I’m having a problem with my edge settings as well…
I’m in Australia and my iphone is fully unlocked with the latest firmware of 1.1.4 and I am with vodafone…I have rung up vodafone on many occasions to solve this problem so I enter the APN as vfinternet.au and leave the username and password blank but still nothing…
CAN SOME BODY PLEASE HELP ME!!!

For activating edge or GPRS in telstra just follow the position as mentioned above depending on which type of telstra you are with and type the following things

Telstra(3G data bundles)

For Telstra(3G pay by time)

For Telstra(3G prepay)

i ve the ideacellular in india and i use this settings in GPRS but i still have the EDGE service and i ve only APN,Username& password and i dont seen the DNs can u tell me where it will be located …. thanx for helping

There isnt any DNS in iphone and u dont DNS to activate edge in iphone just the APN,USERNAME AND PASSWORD is enough to activate edge or gprs in iphone.

I am in Latvia and when I go to general/network..
edge does not appear..
I have treid turning data roaming on and off.. using network LV LMT..
Funny thing is the EDGE setting appear when I am in South America

inspite of activating the mobile office(Airtel india) and following the steps you have advised, i ma still not able to activate edge. Airtel customer service have to say that the phone has to be unlocked first for Edge services since this phone was not bought from india

hi rajiv upto my knowledge NTC mobile doesnt have any internet so theres no GPRS setting for NTC Nepal but mero mobile have GPRS network on its mobile u can use your iphone on MERO mobile network but not on ntc.

NTC mobile does have internet thru GPRS, i had used that in my Nokia handset, where i need to set proxy server and put port number but in iphone no such options. so i am worried if it works in iphone.

I need your help to advise for China. I use the Chinamobile service. But in my iPhone I can’t activate the same.
I have made the setting as :
APN : cmnet
Username : both blank and guest
Password : both blank and guest.
In all cases no luck to run the GPRS.
