Nepal festival 2008 was one the most successful event ever organized in Australia by the Nepalese community and the crowd were unexpected,it was the record crowd Australia had ever seen in Nepalese events,festivals. Everywhere in the crowd u would just see Nepalese faces and it felt like u were in Nepal not in sydney.Although it was weekend ,a day for most of Nepalese to work crowd were historical.

The event started with the performance from local artist in Sydney. Dance from the 6 years old kids were highly appreciated by the crowds, and other dance performance were also admirable. Programme started abit late than the scheduled timetable .crowd had to keep patient for more than 3hrs to watch their favourite band the axe band to perform but during the wait crowd were entertained by local bands Parikrama(zerotricks) and others.Parikrama peformed matra band’s song Himali nepali.Some of the other local musical band also performed their own song while some sang other famous Nepalese band songs. Artist from the Himalayan radio performed a famous lokdohari “majhi dai pokhara few taal ko ” forcing everyone to dance.
Organizers saying the axe band are almost ready to perform each 5 minute was testing the patient of young nepalese there to see their favourite band performing. And the finally wait was over and after a long musical wait the axe band were in the stage performing there hit songs. The axe band performance showed why they were one of the best Nepalese band and the wait of Nepalese people during the concert was never worthless.Everyone were singing and dancing with the artist of axe band.”dekhe timilai hijo hai rati sapanima”,”thado jane ukali”,”lukna deu malai timro kesh ma”,”euta chithi ko sahara le” were songs performed by axe band and the crowd were dancing and cheering for their favourite artist. And finally the concert ended with the song “euta chiti sahara le timro mann jitna chahana ma”.it was the day for Nepalese to remember, a great weekend they ever had together all Nepalese singing and dancing together. Proud to be Nepali …………….

Remember if you wanna brush your English, eat less tarkari and avoid hanging around Town Hall, like many Nepalese have started to do…

This article is really nice and its really good for all the nepalese who are staying in australia.We can check all the events that have been organise and that is going to be organise. Well those hip hop artists really sucked and next time just dont let any body with a guitar and a microphone perform..any ways i felt like i was in tudikhel and nepalese people who were there behaved like a nepali citizen by making the place dirty n all….Just dont let stupid people perform who eer is incharge..
