Rotary Club of Kogarah organised yet another fundraiser to raise funds for Nepalese and local charities.
With the help of Gerry and Betsy Hertzberg, who have organised many successful similar Observation Trials, President Bob got the project off to a fine start. Helping Gerry were Graeme Davies and Ron Fraser from the Probus Club of Loftus.
Route of the Car Trial was around the local area of Carss Park, Kyle Bay, Connells Point, Hurstville, Peakhurst, Mortdale and Padstow. There were 8 cars participating in the Car Trial, packed with 3-7 attendees, depending upon the car size. Each car were provided with directions to follow that also included very cryptic, yet interesting set of questions to be solved while driving along the route.
Just like every other fund raisers organised by the Rotary, the Car Trial was a great success as it was generously supported by the attendees including a number of Nepalese who turned up to support the event. They also brought along their observation skills which benefited the Rotarians greatly by their participation and fellowship.
The Observation Car Trial concluded with a BBQ lunch at the Lambeth Reserve, NSW. Exciting prizes were awarded to the winners of the Car Trial. Prizes were awarded to the winners of lucky raffles that were also drawn before the event was wrapped up.
