Nepalis who live over 2 yrs in foreign land to get NRN status

Nepal  government is planning to give the Non Resident Nepalis status to its citizens who have spent more than two years in foreign lands with various reasons including the study purpose or of business among others.

Ministry of Foreign Affairs has already forwarded the ‘Non-Residential Nepali Regulations – 2065′ to the cabinet for its approval.

Once the regulations was endorsed Nepali businessmen, students and other nationals who have stayed for more than two years in a foreign nation other than SAARC countries.

According to the proposed regulations, Nepalese studying and working in various countries of gulf, Europe, Malaysia, the USA, and Korea, among others will get an ID card and enjoy the facilities enjoyed by an NRN. There are about 2.5 million Nepalese who fall in this category Read more…

Mardi Gras is three weeks packed full of culture, entertainment and social events including two of the most famous parties in the world and of course the jewel in our crown – the Sydney Gay & Lesbian Mardi Gras Parade.

New Mardi Gras announced  an easy way for budding individuals or small groups from our global community to enter into this year’s Parade on the 7th March.

With the ‘Nations United’ theme this year, the Parade organisers are keen to see as much representation of ethnic and national groups as possible.  Any individuals or small group of entrants who want to enter the parade to represent their home country can do so with our simplified procedure. New Mardi Gras will group them together by geography to march with themed continental markers amongst the Parade..

All organizer  ask is that entrants bring some flair and creativity to their appearance for the Parade – national costume and a flag at minimum, but at best they might think of a fun way to portray some famous aspect of their home country. Read more…
